On the special occasion of Saptami, Tripura’s Chief Minister Manik Saha participated in the Matri Aradhana at the Ramakrishna Mission in Agartala. He highlighted the cultural importance of the festival and joined the Durga Puja celebrations at the Sanghati Club in Kailashahar Sri Rampur. During his visit, CM Saha exchanged warm wishes with locals, celebrating the spirit of Sharadiya Durga Utsav, emphasizing the role of cultural traditions in fostering community unity.

CM Saha shared on X that he participated in the ‘universal’ festival with people, expressing gratitude for the hospitality of the Roy family at Chandipur. He described Durga Puja as a festival of devotion, culture, and unity, with people from all over the state joining in the worship of Goddess Mahamaya Durga.

Earlier, on October 9, CM Saha inaugurated the Agartala Durga Puja pandal, addressing concerns about attacks on minority Hindus in Bangladesh. Durga Puja, the largest festival in Tripura after West Bengal, is celebrated with great enthusiasm, attracting large crowds to the beautifully decorated pandals. This year, around 900 pandals have been registered in Agartala and its municipal areas, featuring elaborate designs and creative themes.
