Tripura Government Enhances Benefits for TSR Forces

The Tripura Government has introduced new initiatives to improve the welfare and efficiency of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR) forces. These measures aim to provide significant benefits to soldiers and officers across all battalions.

Increased Allowances

The monthly ration allowance for TSR personnel will double from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000, ensuring better sustenance. Additionally, the clothing allowance will rise from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000, allowing for improved gear and attire.

Fitness and Medical Enhancements

Each battalion will receive Rs five lakh to establish a gymnasium, promoting physical fitness. The monthly remuneration for Medical Officers in the TSR Battalion will be increased to Rs 60,000 to attract qualified professionals.

Promotions and Acknowledgments

A provision for the ad hoc promotion of 240 jawans has been made, recognizing their service and dedication. These initiatives reflect the State Government’s commitment to boosting morale and operational effectiveness.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended Diwali celebrations at the 2nd Battalion TSR Camp in Binan Kobra Para, Mandwai.
