Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha Inaugurates New Education Training Institute in Jalbasa
On Tuesday, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha inaugurated the District Institution for Education and Training (DIET) at Jalbasa, Panisagar in the North Tripura District. This new institute is the fifth of its kind in the state.
During the ceremony, Saha emphasized the importance of education for societal success and mentioned that the central government, led by Prime Minister Modi, is implementing various schemes to enhance the education system. He highlighted the National Education Policy and the significant budget allocation of Rs 1 lakh 12 thousand 899 crore for the 2023-24 Financial Year.
Saha also discussed the Vidya Pravesh Scheme, a three-month play-based school preparation module, and the PM e-Vidya initiative for digital education. He noted the importance of modernizing infrastructure and manpower, citing recent inaugurations of new school buildings and a girls’ hostel.
The event was attended by several key officials, including Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, MLA Binay Bhusan Das, MLA Jadab Lal Nath, North District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan, North District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty, and Higher Education Secretary Raval Hamendra Kumar.
