Tribute to Brave Soldier Hilal Ahmad Bhat in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir
A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held for Territorial Army jawan Hilal Ahmad Bhat, who was tragically killed in Nowgam, Anantnag. His body, found with bullet wounds, was brought to his native village. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha honored Bhat’s sacrifice, stating, “I salute the supreme sacrifice of our Army braveheart Rfn Hilal Ahmad Bhat. His valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten.”
Security forces had been searching for Bhat, who was abducted by terrorists. A joint operation by the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, and other agencies was launched in the Kazwan Forest in Kokernag. During this operation, it was reported that two Territorial Army soldiers were abducted, but one managed to escape. The search for the missing soldier was ongoing.
