Travis Head Takes Top Spot in T20I Rankings
Suryakumar Yadav Drops to Second
Australian cricketer Travis Head has overtaken India’s Suryakumar Yadav to become the top-ranked batter in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings. Head’s performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, including a 76-run knock against India, helped him secure the top spot. Suryakumar Yadav, who had held the position since December 2023, dropped to second.
Other notable changes in the rankings include:
- England’s Phil Salt, Pakistan’s Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan dropping in rankings.
- Johnson Charles from the Caribbean making it into the top ten.
- Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz moving up to 11th place.
In the T20I All-rounders Rankings, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis was replaced by Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga at the top. India’s Hardik Pandya moved up to third place, and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi is now in second place. West Indies’ Roston Chase made a significant jump, moving up 17 places to 12th.
