In Karachi, Pakistan, a man named Faisal was tragically shot after refusing to give his motorcycle to robbers. The incident occurred in the Sarjani Sector 36 area. Faisal and his brother were targeted by two armed robbers while returning home from work. Despite resisting, the robbers opened fire, fatally wounding Faisal. His brother reported that they were robbed of their salaries, totaling PKR 80,000. Faisal’s father, Shabbir, highlighted the frequent occurrence of such crimes in the area.

Street crimes in Karachi have been increasing, with over 50,000 incidents reported between January and August 2024. The Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) documented that 208 cases occur daily, involving thefts of mobile phones, cars, and motorcycles. These crimes have resulted in the deaths of around 100 people and injuries to nearly 500 others due to gunfire.
