In a shocking event in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar, a water tanker driver named Sapan Singh accidentally killed a 21-year-old youth named Saddam while trying to escape from stone-pelting. The incident occurred when rainwater splashed on some people, leading them to throw stones at the tanker.

As Sapan Singh tried to flee, Saddam came under the wheels of the tanker and died on the spot. The situation escalated as angry people continued to pelt stones. An auto driver named Bablu intervened to stop the stone-pelting but was stabbed by the attackers and is now in critical condition.

Police forces have been deployed to control the tense situation. DCP South Delhi Ankit Chauhan confirmed Saddam’s death and stated that the body has been sent for postmortem. Additional DCP East District Achin Garg provided further details, explaining that the altercation began when water splashed on auto drivers, leading to the stone-pelting incident.

Bablu, who was stabbed at two places, has been transferred from Majidia Hospital to Safdarjung Hospital. The police have identified the accused, and the investigation is ongoing.
