Junior Doctor Dies After Fall
A sad event took place at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where a junior doctor named Akash, who was a second-year postgraduate student, died after allegedly falling from the third floor of a hostel.
The incident happened late on October 20, and involved a female friend who was with him. She was injured but is now out of danger, having suffered shoulder injuries.
According to the police, it appears to be a suicide case, but more details will be confirmed after a thorough investigation. Rajeev Ranjan, the Public Relations Officer at RIMS, mentioned that security personnel heard a loud noise when the pair allegedly jumped from the floor.
The RIMS official stated, “Last night around 10:30 pm, an orthopaedic student of second year jumped from the third floor of the hostel. The boy had jumped with another girl, however, we do not know details about the girl who does not belong to RIMS. Guards rushed on the spot after receiving the information.”
Both individuals were admitted to the hospital, but unfortunately, Akash passed away after two hours. The investigation is ongoing, and CCTV footage is being reviewed to understand the circumstances of the fall.
