Tragic Hit-and-Run in Mumbai: Teenager Aditya Velankar Killed, Two Friends Injured

A hit-and-run incident occurred in the Dahisar area of Mumbai on Friday, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Aditya Velankar and injuries to his friends Piyush Shukla and Karan Rajput, both 18. The trio was returning from Shailendra High School when a speeding car hit their bike.

According to police officials, Karan fell on his left side, while Aditya fell on the right side, suffering serious head injuries. Aditya was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. The Dahisar police are scanning CCTV footage to identify the car owner and have launched a search operation. An FIR has been registered under various sections of the Motor Vehicle Act.

In a similar incident on September 7, a speeding car hit two workers from Mulund Cha Raja Ganpati Mandal, killing one and critically injuring another. The incident occurred early in the morning on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi. The police are investigating and searching for the driver.
