Tragic Fire in Mumbai’s Riya Palace Claims Three Lives

A devastating fire broke out in the Riya Palace building located in the Andheri area of Mumbai, Maharashtra, on a Wednesday. The incident resulted in the tragic loss of three lives. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) reported that fire brigade officials promptly arrived at the scene to control the blaze, which was eventually extinguished.

The Chief Medical Officer of Cooper Hospital confirmed that three individuals, identified as Chandraprakash Soni, Kanta Soni, and Pelubeta, were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Further details regarding the incident are still awaited.

In a related incident earlier this month, on October 7, another fire occurred in a multistoried residential building in the Mahim area of Mumbai. This fire started at 07:54 am and was confined to the electric wiring, installation, AC unit, and household items in a bedroom on the fourth floor of the 11-storied Mohit Heights building. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported in this earlier incident.
