A fire broke out in a furniture factory and godown in Delhi’s Kirti Nagar area, leading to the tragic deaths of two individuals. The victims were identified as Atul Rai, a laborer from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Nand Kishore Dube, a rickshaw puller from Gaya, Bihar.

Incident Details

The fire was reported to the Kirti Nagar police station at around 4:30 am. It was discovered on the roofs of two buildings in the WHS Kirti Nagar area. Seven fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

Investigation

Upon inspection, it was found that the room on the roof was locked from the inside. The door was forced open, revealing that the two men had died from suffocation. A Forensic Science Laboratory team has been called to determine the cause of the fire.
