A devastating fire broke out in a house located in Bholanath Nagar, Delhi, resulting in the death of two family members and injuring four others. The incident occurred on Friday morning, as reported by a senior official.

Details of the Incident

According to DCP Shahdara, the fire was reported at 5:50 am in house number 197, gali number 11. The fire was located on the third floor of the building owned by Manish Gupta, son of Kailash Gupta.

Casualties and Injuries

The fire claimed the lives of Shilpi Gupta, aged 42, and Pranav Gupta, aged 16, who appeared to have died from asphyxia. The injured family members, Kailash Gupta (72), Bhagwati Gupta (70), Manish Gupta (45), and Parth Gupta (19), were taken to GTB Hospital for treatment.

Emergency Response

Six fire tenders were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was successfully extinguished. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has been called to investigate the cause of the fire.
