Tragic Incident in Chennai: 15-Year-Old Girl Beaten to Death
A heartbreaking event unfolded in Amjikarai, Chennai, where a 15-year-old girl, originally from Thanjavur, was allegedly tortured and beaten to death by six individuals in a house where she worked as a caretaker. The incident occurred on October 31, and the police have taken swift action.

The young girl had been working as a caretaker for a child in the household of Mohammad Nishad since December 2023. Over a period of three months, she was subjected to severe abuse, including burn injuries, which ultimately led to her tragic death.
Police Investigation and Arrests
On November 1, a complaint was filed by Sharfudeen regarding the suspicious death of the girl. The Amjikarai Police registered a case and, upon investigation, discovered the extent of the abuse. The six accused individuals, identified as Mohammed Nishad (30), Nivetha alias Nasiya (30), Lokesh (25), Jaya Sakthi (24), Seema (39), and Maheshwari (40), have been arrested and charged with murder and offenses under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. They have been placed in judicial custody.
