Tragic Cylinder Blast in Sikandrabad: Six Lives Lost
A devastating incident occurred in the Ashapuri Colony of Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr, where a cylinder explosion claimed the lives of at least six individuals. The blast took place on Monday evening, between 8:30 and 9 PM, in a house where 18-19 people were present.
Official Statements
Chandra Prakash Paryadarshi, the City Magistrate of Bulandshahr, confirmed that six bodies, comprising three males and three females, were brought to the district hospital for post-mortem. He mentioned that these were the victims of the Sikandrabad tragedy.
Earlier, Chandra Prakash Singh, the District Magistrate of Bulandshahr, reported that five people had died in the incident. He stated that eight people were rescued, with three still injured, one of whom is in serious condition.
Rescue and Relief Efforts
Teams from the fire brigade, police department, municipal corporation, medical services, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were deployed to the site for rescue operations. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, instructed officials to promptly reach the location and conduct relief and rescue efforts. An investigation into the cause of the blast is underway.
