Tragic Bus Accident in Nepal: 14 Bodies Recovered
A bus with a Uttar Pradesh number plate plunged into the Marsyangdi river in Nepal’s Tanahun district, resulting in 14 recovered bodies. The bus, carrying at least 40 passengers, was en route from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Kumar Neupane, Spokesperson for the Armed Police Force in Nepal, confirmed that 14 bodies have been retrieved from the river. DSP Deepkumar Raya from the District Police Office Tanahun stated that the bus, bearing number plate UP FT 7623, is lying on the bank of the river.
Response from Uttar Pradesh
The Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner mentioned that efforts are being made to establish contact to find out if any person from Uttar Pradesh was on the bus. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Maharajganj is being sent to Nepal, and the Additional District Magistrate of Maharajganj will coordinate the efforts.
