Tragic Bus Accident in Bilaspur: Child Dies and Over 30 Injured

A serious bus accident occurred in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, leading to the death of a child and injuries to more than 30 passengers. The accident happened on the Lalkhadan Over Bridge in the Torwa police station area due to the driver’s negligence.

Details of the Incident

According to Rajnish Singh, the Superintendent of Police in Bilaspur, the bus was carrying over 50 passengers when it overturned. The injured were quickly taken to the hospital for treatment with the help of local people.

Official Statements

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his sorrow over the incident in a post on X. He mentioned that the injured have been admitted to the SIMS and district hospital. He also instructed the collector to ensure proper arrangements for the injured and prayed for the deceased child’s soul and the speedy recovery of the injured.

The police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the accident.
