Tragic Blast in Telangana Glass Factory: 5 Dead, 15 Injured

A tragic incident occurred in a glass factory in the Shadnagar area of Rangareddy district, Telangana, on Friday. A blast caused by gas pressure in the compressor furnace led to a massive fire, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuries to 15 others.

Details of the Incident

According to the police, the explosion happened in a glass manufacturing company in Burgul, Shadnagar. Shamshabad DCP confirmed that five people died and 15 were critically injured. All the injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police, fire brigade, and other officials are currently at the site, and a case is being registered for further investigation.

Response from Authorities

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been in touch with the authorities regarding the accident. He has ordered immediate medical treatment for the injured and instructed the Collector to coordinate relief measures. The Chief Minister has also directed the revenue, police, fire department, labour, industries, and medical teams to stay at the accident site and manage the relief efforts.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KT Rama Rao expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. He also urged the Telangana Government to conduct a thorough safety audit and review disaster management plans in all industrial areas to prevent such incidents in the future.
