Immediate Response and Casualties

Assistant Superintendent of Police in Bolpur, Rana Mukherjee, reported that six bodies were found at the site, and three individuals were injured. The injured are currently receiving medical treatment, with one person critically injured and two others out of danger.

Government’s Support and Compensation

The West Bengal government, led by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Pant, has announced a compensation package for the victims’ families. Each family will receive Rs 30 lakh, an additional Rs 2 lakh, and a government job for one family member. The company involved is also expected to provide compensation.
