Tragic Attack on Laborers in Gagangeer, Jammu and Kashmir
In a tragic incident on Sunday evening, two laborers lost their lives in a terror attack in the Gagangeer area of Ganderbal district, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack targeted non-local laborers working on an important infrastructure project.
Condemnation from Leaders
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack, describing it as “dastardly and cowardly.” He expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished for the recovery of the injured, some of whom have been referred to SKIMS, Srinagar.
Former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad also condemned the attack, calling it “an act against humanity” and urged for firm action against the perpetrators.
Police Response
Following the attack, IG Kashmir Zone police VK Birdi visited the site, and the area has been cordoned off by security forces. The Kashmir Zone Police confirmed the incident and stated that further details will follow.
