In the early hours of Friday, a tragic accident occurred in the Mundhwa area of Pune City, Maharashtra. A food delivery executive named Rauf Shaikh lost his life when his two-wheeler was struck by a luxury car.
Details of the Incident
The driver of the luxury car, identified as 34-year-old Ayush Tayal, did not stop after the accident. Before hitting Rauf Shaikh’s bike, the car had already collided with another two-wheeler, injuring three people. The accident happened around 1:35 am, and the car hit Rauf Shaikh from behind, causing severe injuries.
Police Investigation
Rauf Shaikh was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Ayush Tayal fled the scene after the incident. However, police were able to identify his car through CCTV footage and arrested him at his residence in the Hadapsar area. A case has been registered at the Mundhwa Police Station under various sections, and further investigation is ongoing.
