In Assam’s Kokrajhar district, a tragic accident occurred on Monday morning when a speeding truck rammed into devotees in front of the Mahamaya temple. The devotees were participating in the Bol Bom yatra during the Sawan month and had come to the temple to offer Jal Abhishekam.

Details of the Incident

The incident took place in the Kachugaon area of Kokrajhar district. According to Pushpraj Singh, the Superintendent of Police of Kokrajhar district, five people lost their lives in the accident. One more person was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital.
