A tragic incident occurred in the Swat region of Pakistan, where a tourist from Sialkot was brutally lynched and burned alive by a mob. The mob accused the man of desecrating the Holy Book inside the Madyan police station.

The victim was handed over to the police by a crowd after being accused of blasphemy. However, announcements from local mosques incited further anger, leading the mob to storm the police station. Police officers fled, and reinforcements were called in to manage the situation.

The Swat District Police Officer reported that the mob set fire to the police station and a police vehicle, and the man was burned alive. Pakistani journalist Taha Siddiqui shared footage of the incident on social media, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Barrister Sidra Qayyum also commented on social media, noting the tense situation in Swat and reporting injuries in the market. The identity of the suspect has yet to be confirmed, but media reports suggest he was a tourist staying at a local hotel.

This tragic event marks the second instance of lynching over blasphemy allegations in recent weeks, following a similar incident in Sargodha. The situation remains tense as authorities work to restore order and investigate the incident.
