Tourism in Israel Drops Due to War with Hamas

Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported a significant drop in tourism in June 2024 due to the ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza. Only 97,700 travelers visited Israel, with 96,500 being foreign tourists, marking an 83% decrease from June 2023. In the first half of 2024, 501,100 visitors entered the country, compared to 2.1 million in the same period in 2023.
