TMC’s Kunal Ghosh Criticizes BJP, PM Modi Encourages BJP MPs in West Bengal
Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that the people of West Bengal support Mamata Banerjee and reject the BJP’s ‘cheap politics.’ Ghosh accused the BJP of misusing central agencies and creating confusion in the state.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with BJP Members of Parliament (MPs) from West Bengal. He advised them to serve the people and contribute to the vision of ‘Sonar Bangla.’ PM Modi also held individual meetings with West Bengal BJP Chief Sukanta Majumdar and Suvendu Adhikari to discuss ways to reach out to the people and promote central schemes. He praised the BJP workers for their efforts against TMC’s governance.
Additionally, Congress leader Isha Khan Choudhary met with Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal to discuss strengthening the Congress party in West Bengal. Currently, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is the President of Congress in the state, but there are speculations about changes in his role after losing the Baharampur constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Isha Khan Chowdhury is the only Congress Lok Sabha MP from West Bengal, having won from the Malda-South constituency.
