Tirupati Laddu Controversy: CM Naidu and YSRCP Leader Reddy Clash Over Ingredients

In Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) inspected a flour mill where ghee is stored and tested before being used in the famous Tirupati laddus. This inspection follows claims by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that substandard ingredients, including animal fat, were used in the laddus during the previous YSRCP government.

YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy accused CM Naidu of lying about the ingredients, stating that the ghee procurement process is routine and has been in place for decades. Reddy also alleged that the government is trying to obstruct his upcoming visit to the Tirumala temple by issuing notices to YSRCP leaders, stating that their visit is not permitted and lacks necessary approval.

Reddy further claimed that CM Naidu is using the laddu issue to shift political focus, questioning the sanctity and pride of Tirumala by alleging the use of animal fat in the prasadam. He criticized the deployment of police and BJP cadres in the state, suggesting that these actions are politically motivated.
