Tilpat Village in Faridabad: A Historical Place in Need of Development

As the Haryana elections approach, political parties are canvassing for votes in every corner of the villages. However, some areas, like Tilpat village in Faridabad, remain in dire need of development. Tilpat, over 5,000 years old, is one of the five villages Lord Krishna requested before the Mahabharata. The village prospered after the arrival of saint Surdas, whose samadhi is located there. The famous Shri Ballabh Ji Temple also attracts visitors.

Despite its rich history and traditions, Tilpat faces significant challenges. Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar has adopted the village, but conditions remain poor. A road was constructed but is prone to flooding due to inadequate drainage. There is no hospital, only a dispensary staffed by an ASHA worker. In emergencies, residents must travel far for treatment. Educational facilities are lacking, with only one government school in a dilapidated building.

Residents express frustration with politicians who visit during elections but leave the village underdeveloped. One woman mentioned that the road in front of her house has been broken for two months, and there are cracks in her home with no one to address these issues. She trusts only PM Modi. Locals highlighted severe deficiencies in basic infrastructure and services, including education, road connectivity, sewage, and public transport. Sudama, a resident, added that pits dug for infrastructure have damaged homes, and animals have died from electrocution. Bharat Ram Sharma criticized the lack of progress, stating that leaders make promises but nothing changes.
