The 27th JK Tyre National Racing Championship at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore saw Tijil Rao move closer to winning the overall drivers’ championship in the Formula LGB4 category. Tijil, who was the runner-up last year, showed great improvement this season. In Saturday’s race, he finished first with a time of 23:02.750 minutes over 15 laps. Saran Vikram from Momentum Sports came second, and Dhruv Goswami from MSport took third place.
Starting second on the grid, Tijil’s skills and dedication helped him dominate the race. His journey from karting five years ago to excelling in the LGB4 category has been consistent. He clocked a time of 7:48.397, with Anish Shetty finishing second. Rohan R, who initially placed third, was removed from the track after an accident. Earlier, Rohan won the first bike race of the day, completing nine laps in 11:44.984, with Navaneeth and Anish following closely.
