Three Members of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Arrested in Punjab
In a significant operation against organized crime, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in collaboration with Rajasthan Police and Bathinda Police, arrested three associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar Gang, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav.
Who Were Arrested?
The arrested individuals are:
- Gurpreet Singh from Bhikhi in Mansa
- Maninder Singh alias Munshi from Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda
- Harcharanjit Singh from village Bir Khurd in Mansa
All three have a history of criminal activities, including cases of murder, attempt to murder, and violations of the Arms Act and NDPS Act.
What Was Recovered?
Police teams recovered two .32 calibre pistols and six cartridges from the arrested individuals.
How Did the Operation Unfold?
Acting on reliable inputs, AGTF teams under the supervision of ADGP Promod Ban, along with Bathinda Police and Rajasthan Police, apprehended Harcharanjit Singh. During interrogation, Harcharanjit revealed that he was working under the directions of notorious gangster Manpreet Singh alias Manna, who is currently in Ropar Jail. This led to the arrest of Gurpreet and Maninder from Mansa Road in Bathinda.
Further Investigations
DGP Gaurav Yadav mentioned that further investigations are ongoing to establish more connections in this case. He also thanked DGP Rajasthan for the support in this inter-state operation.
A case FIR no 72 has been registered under section 25 of the Arms Act at Police Station Maur in Bathinda.
