Three Arrested for Torturing Minor in Pandhurna, Madhya Pradesh
In Pandhurna, Madhya Pradesh, three individuals were arrested for the cruel treatment of a young boy who was hung upside down and tortured on suspicion of theft. The incident occurred in the Mohgaon area on November 1, and a video of the event went viral on social media by November 3. The video showed the minor tied with a rope, hung upside down, and subjected to chilli smoke near his head while being accused of stealing a watch. Another boy was also seen with his hands tied. Following the video’s circulation, the boy’s father filed a complaint at the Mohgaon police station. Pandhurna Superintendent of Police, Sundar Singh Kanesh, confirmed the arrests and stated that the accused were charged under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) for kidnapping, exploitation, wrongful confinement, obscene acts, and voluntarily causing hurt. The accused were presented in court and subsequently jailed. Further investigations are ongoing.
