One Terrorist Killed

A terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces on Wednesday in the Gandoh area of Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. The operation was led by ADG Jammu Zone Anand Jain, along with DIG Doda and SSP Doda.

Earlier in the day, Jammu and Kashmir police and security forces launched a joint operation in the Bhaderwah Sector of district Doda. This incident follows a series of terror-related activities in the region. On June 19, two terrorists were killed in Baramulla district. Since June 9, there have been attacks in Reasi, Kathua, and Doda, resulting in the deaths of nine pilgrims and a CRPF jawan, and injuries to a civilian and at least seven security personnel.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently chaired a review meeting on the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir, directing all security agencies to work in a coordinated manner. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held a high-level meeting to discuss the security situation, attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other senior officials.
