On Saturday, Telangana’s Minister for Tourism and Culture, Jupally Krishna Rao, met with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi. Rao urged Shekhawat to allocate funds to support the development of Telangana’s tourism sector.

Rao highlighted that Telangana has abundant resources for tourism, including eco-tourism, water bodies, temple tourism, and health and wellness tourism. He explained that with adequate funding, the state’s tourism sector could reach new heights. In response, Shekhawat assured full cooperation for the development of tourism in Telangana.

Rao mentioned that the state government is exploring all possible avenues to develop Telangana’s tourism and is moving forward with a special plan. He noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, a new tourism policy is being implemented to make Telangana the top destination in the country.

Accompanying Rao were Telangana Tourism Department Chief Secretary Vani Prasad, Tourism Development Corporation MD Prakash Reddy, and others.

Rao also addressed questions about the demolition of illegal constructions in the state. He stated that action will be taken against those who encroach on government properties, emphasizing that it is the government’s responsibility to protect public properties for future generations.
