Telangana Leaders Meet PM Modi and Amit Shah to Discuss State Needs

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday. They discussed several important issues for the state of Telangana.

Key Requests

The leaders made several requests, including:

  • Allocation of coal blocks to Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL)
  • Revival of the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) in Hyderabad
  • Sanction of defence land
  • Fulfilment of promises under the State Reorganization Act
  • 25 lakh houses for the state
  • One Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Telangana
  • One school in each district
  • Support for a drug-free campaign

The Chief Minister emphasized the need to remove the Shravanapalli coal block from the auction list and allocate it, along with Koyagudem and Sattupalli Block 3, to SCCL to meet the state’s power generation needs. He also stressed the importance of boosting IT infrastructure by reviving the ITIR project in Hyderabad, which has been stalled since 2014.
