Telangana Gurukul Teacher Aspirants Protest at CM Revanth Reddy’s Residence
Teacher aspirants in Telangana staged a protest at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s residence, demanding the filling of vacant Gurukul teacher posts and addressing the backlog.
Harish Rao Thanneeru’s Response
Harish Rao Thanneeru, a former Minister and MLA from Siddipet, expressed his disappointment on his official X handle. He criticized the current government for ignoring the candidates’ pleas and praised the previous BRS government for establishing Gurukuls to provide free and high-quality education to children from poor and backward sections.
Thanneeru highlighted that the previous BRS government had initiated the filling of 9210 teacher posts in Gurukuls. However, he accused the current Congress government of mismanagement, leading to over 2,500 vacant posts and lost job opportunities for candidates.
Call to Action
Thanneeru demanded that the government fill the vacant posts as per the Telangana High Court’s verdict to do justice to the candidates and the unemployed.
