Telangana Farmer’s Devotion to Donald Trump: A 6-Foot Statue and a Heartfelt Legacy

In the village of Konnea, Telangana, a farmer named Bussa Krishna Raju was known for his deep admiration for Donald Trump, the former US President. Krishna’s devotion was so profound that he erected a 6-foot statue of Trump and performed daily rituals, including offerings of milk, kumkum, and turmeric.

Tragically, Krishna passed away on October 11, 2020, from a cardiac arrest while fasting and praying for Trump’s recovery from COVID-19. His friends, Subhash and Amba Lakshmi, remember Krishna’s dedication, noting that he considered Trump his god. Subhash shared that Krishna’s soul can now rest in peace, as Trump has won the 2024 US presidential election, securing a second term after a significant comeback.

Amba Lakshmi, who regarded Krishna as a brother, highlighted that he was the first to erect a Trump statue in India, and the lane where it stands is now known as Trump Lane. She recalled Krishna’s emotional response to Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis and expressed relief that Trump’s victory would bring peace to Krishna’s soul.
