In Hyderabad, Telangana’s Director General of Police, Jitender, has instructed the Anti-Narcotics Bureau to take firm action against drug supply in the state. During a special meeting at the DGP’s office, attended by Additional DGP Mahesh M Bhagwat, Anti-Narcotics Bureau Director Sandeep Shandilya, and other officials, Jitender emphasized the need for stringent measures to curb narcotics distribution.

The DGP announced plans to deploy additional manpower to support the bureau’s efforts and stressed the importance of dismantling entire drug networks when suspects are apprehended. He also stated that foreigners involved in drug activities should face deportation.

Additional DGP Mahesh M Bhagwat highlighted the necessity of presenting strong evidence in court to ensure convictions. Anti-Narcotics Bureau Director Sandeep Shandilya expressed satisfaction with the increased manpower and shared that training materials have been published to aid in prosecutions. He reaffirmed the bureau’s commitment to taking decisive action against drug offenders.
