Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Promises to Complete Old City Metro Rail in Four Years
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced in the Legislative Assembly that his government will complete the Old City metro rail project in four years. He emphasized that Old City is the original part of Hyderabad and criticized the previous BRS government for not extending metro services to this area.
Reddy mentioned that the Congress government has already submitted a report to the Centre for the second phase of the metro rail project, covering a 78-kilometre stretch. He also highlighted that the Congress government laid the foundation stone for the metro rail in Old City soon after coming to power.
Additionally, CM Reddy stated that within one year of Congress coming to power, 60,000 government job vacancies have been filled, and 30,000 more will be filled in the next 90 days. He assured that his government will prioritize education and agriculture in the budget and ensure timely salary payments to government employees.
Reddy encouraged unemployed youth to voice their concerns to MLAs and Ministers and assured them that he would be available to address their grievances.
