Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday to discuss several important issues for the state. The meeting lasted about an hour and covered a range of topics.

Reddy emphasized the need to remove the Shravanapalli coal block from the auction list and allocate it, along with Koyagudem and Sattupalli Block 3, to SCCL to meet the state’s power needs. He also highlighted the importance of reviving the ITIR project, which has been stalled since 2014, to boost IT infrastructure in Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister requested the allocation of defense land for infrastructure projects and offered alternative land in Raviryal in exchange. He also reiterated the need to fulfill promises made during the state reorganization, such as establishing a steel plant in Bayyaram and a coach factory in Kazipet.

Reddy sought the inclusion of Telangana in the India Semiconductor Mission due to interest from several companies in setting up semiconductor fabs in Hyderabad. He also requested the immediate sanction of an IIM in Hyderabad, citing available land at the Hyderabad Central University campus.

Additionally, Reddy asked for the release of Rs 1,800 crores under the BRGF for the years 2019-2024 and the upgrade of 13 state highways to national highways to improve connectivity. He emphasized the importance of the speedy construction of the RRR for the development of national highways around Hyderabad.
