Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Criticizes BJP Ahead of Maharashtra Elections

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a strong critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the Maharashtra assembly elections approach. He accused the BJP of deceiving the people of Maharashtra over the last 2-3 years. Reddy stated, “They (BJP) do not have anything to say, so they are putting allegations on others.” He questioned why BJP leaders, including the Prime Minister and Home Minister, are speaking against Telangana, suggesting they are intimidated by Telangana’s fulfilled guarantees.

Reddy emphasized that the BJP has a habit of making false promises to form governments, contrasting this with Congress, which he claims fulfills its guarantees. He praised Congress for its role in the formation of Telangana, crediting Sonia Gandhi. Reddy predicted that the people of Maharashtra will respond strongly to the current leadership in the upcoming elections.

The Maharashtra assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with votes for all 288 constituencies to be counted on November 23. In the previous elections, BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena 56, and Congress 44 in 2019, while in 2014, BJP secured 122 seats, Shiv Sena 63, and Congress 42.
