Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Announces Rs 1,00,000 Loan Waiver for Farmers
On Tuesday, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made significant announcements to benefit farmers. He committed to providing a Rs 1,00,000 loan waiver to all eligible farmers by July 18. The Telangana CMO shared this news on its official X handle, stating, “Good news for all the farmers. In the first installment, a loan waiver to the extent of Rs 1,00,000 will be given to all eligible farmers by July 18.”
Chief Minister Reddy clarified that a Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver will apply to farmers’ families based on their passbooks. He instructed bankers to ensure that the loan waiver funds are properly allocated and warned of strict action if the funds are mismanaged.
During a meeting with Collectors, Police Commissioners, and SPs, Reddy explained the loan waiver and other welfare schemes. He emphasized the responsibility of collectors to deliver government programs to the final beneficiaries. Reddy also reiterated the government’s mission to extend six guarantees to every eligible person in the state.
Additionally, Reddy stressed the importance of resolving pending Dharani issues by August 15. Dharani is an application for grievances related to specific land matters. He also called for special measures to protect government lands and ponds from alienation and to ensure that everyone receives Aarogyasri health services, regardless of ration card status. A digital health profile should be created for everyone.
