Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy Unveils AI Roadmap at Global Summit in Hyderabad
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the state will implement a framework for artificial intelligence (AI) to make Hyderabad a leading AI hub in India. Speaking at the AI Global Summit 2024 in Hyderabad, he emphasized the city’s readiness for the AI revolution.
“When any new technology comes, it brings both hope and fear. Hope of how it will make our life better, and fear of disruption of jobs. If we think of India’s future, no city is as perfectly ready as Hyderabad for the revolution,” said CM Reddy.
He highlighted that Telangana has already taken significant steps towards AI development. The Telangana AI Mission, in partnership with NASSCOM, will help implement the AI framework in the state. The government aims to bring together experts from both the government and industry to drive innovation.
During the event, CM Reddy released the AI roadmap developed by the state government, which includes 25 programs. Telangana is actively working towards creating a better ecosystem for AI development.
Last week, during his visit to the US, CM Reddy urged the diaspora to invest in Telangana at the Dallas IT Serve Alliance meet. Telangana’s IT minister Sridhar Babu was also present at the event. They encouraged the members of the IT Serve Alliance, the largest association of IT Services organizations based in the US, to consider investments in Hyderabad and Telangana.
