Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy Unveils Rajiv Gandhi Statue

Reddy highlighted the contributions of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who unified 563 princely states and initiated major projects like the Nagarjuna Sagar dam. He also praised Indira Gandhi for nationalizing banks, providing housing for the poor, and empowering backward communities.
Rajiv Gandhi’s Achievements
Reddy discussed Rajiv Gandhi’s significant contributions, including introducing voting rights for 18-year-olds, amending the constitution to empower local bodies, and spearheading India’s technological revolution.
Appeal to the People
Reddy appealed to the people to support the installation of Rajiv Gandhi’s statue, challenging those who oppose it. He announced plans to install the Telangana Talli statue inside the State Secretariat on December 9.

Reddy criticized KCR for neglecting Telangana heroes like Konda Laxman Bapuji and accused him of inciting violence. He mentioned that the Congress government named institutions after notable Telangana figures like Laxman Bapuji and Ilamma.
