Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and World Bank President Ajay Banga Plan Big Projects Together
During a trip to the United States, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met with World Bank President Ajay Banga to discuss potential partnerships on various projects. The meeting, which lasted over an hour, focused on areas such as skills development, urban rejuvenation, Net Zero developments, and healthcare.
The World Bank’s support will significantly boost several key initiatives of Chief Minister Reddy, including the Musi River rejuvenation project, Skill University, Future City, Citizen Healthcare, and the development of Hyderabad 4.0. The discussions emphasized themes like people, planet, sustainability, health, skills, and jobs.
Chief Minister Reddy expressed his delight at the World Bank’s endorsement and promised to ensure that each project is followed up with the highest transparency. This collaboration marks the first time Telangana has chosen to work with any of the Bretton Woods institutions.
Other officials present at the meeting included IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Telangana Chief Secretary A Shanta Kumari, and World Bank executive director Parameswaran Iyer, who praised the Telangana government for its holistic and sustainable vision.
