Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Reviews Free Bus Facility for Women
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently reviewed the free bus facility for women and the activities of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) in a high-level meeting. During the meeting, he made several suggestions and ordered officials to purchase new RTC buses to meet the needs of the people.
Maha Lakshmi Scheme
In December last year, the Congress government in Telangana launched the ‘Maha Lakshmi scheme’, which provides free travel for women, girls, and transgender persons. The scheme is designed to benefit girls, women of all age groups, and transgender persons domiciled in Telangana. It allows free travel in state-run Palle Velugu and express buses operated by TSRTC within the borders of Telangana State.
The government has been successfully implementing the scheme since December 2023.
