Tejasvi Surya Leads Protests in Delhi Against Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks on Hindus

New Delhi, July 3: Tejasvi Surya, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), led a large protest in Delhi against Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, for his comments about Hindus. Surya, along with thousands of BJP workers, marched to the Congress headquarters demanding an apology from Gandhi.

During the protest, Surya stated, “By calling all Hindus violent, he has belittled the entire society.” He also mentioned that this was not the first time Gandhi had made such remarks. Surya referred to a WikiLeaks report where Gandhi allegedly told US diplomats in 2009 that radicalized Hindu groups were a bigger threat than Pakistan’s terror outfit LeT.

Surya also criticized former UPA ministers P Chidambaram and Sushil Kumar Shinde for allegedly fabricating a ‘saffron terror’ plot and trying to blame Hindu groups for the 26/11 attacks. He accused Rahul Gandhi of mocking Hindus throughout his career and demanded an apology.

On Tuesday, Surya called for BJYM units across India to hold protests against Gandhi’s remarks. These protests saw widespread participation, with people from various backgrounds standing in solidarity with BJYM workers. The protests aimed to reject divisive narratives and uphold India’s values of pluralism and tolerance.

During the Delhi protest, other leaders like BJP Delhi State President Virendra Sachdeva, MP Manoj Tiwari, and MP Bansuri Swaraj also addressed the crowd. They demanded an immediate and unconditional apology from Rahul Gandhi for his remarks. The BJYM emphasized its commitment to protecting the interests of all communities and rejecting divisive language.
