Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav expressed his grief and urged state governments to reassess their law and order situations. Baba Siddique was brought to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital with gunshot wounds but succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

Details of the Incident

Baba Siddique was admitted to the hospital around 9:30 pm on Saturday. Dr. Jalil Parkar, a physician at Lilavati Hospital, reported that Siddique’s vital signs were unrecordable upon arrival, and he was immediately moved to the ICU. Unfortunately, he could not be revived.

Community Reaction

The villagers from Siddique’s ancestral home in Sheikhpurdil, Bihar, mourned his loss and voiced concerns over the safety in Maharashtra.

Legal Proceedings

Mumbai’s Esplanade Court has remanded Gurmail Singh, one of the accused in the murder case, to police custody until October 21. Another suspect, Dharmraj Singh Kashyap, is also under investigation, with an ossification test ordered to determine his age. A third suspect, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, has been identified by the police.
