Tejashwi Yadav Surprised by Haryana Election Results

Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, expressed surprise over the Haryana election results. He noted that even Haryana’s Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, seemed unsure about the outcome before the elections. Yadav remarked that the BJP’s leaders and workers lacked confidence, and Saini had mentioned the possibility of forming a coalition if necessary.

Election Results

In the Haryana assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 48 seats, while the Indian National Congress (INC) secured 36 seats and was leading in one more, totaling 37. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won 2 seats, and 3 Independent candidates were successful, making a total of 90 seats.

Criticism of BJP

Yadav criticized the BJP, claiming they cannot come to power on their own and are trying to tarnish his reputation. He challenged the BJP to involve investigative agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate him, asserting that allegations against him are baseless.

Allegations by BJP

Danish Iqbal, BJP’s media in-charge, accused Yadav of taking government property when vacating his official residence. Iqbal claimed that items like furniture and fixtures were missing, suggesting it reflected poorly on Yadav’s character.
