Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes BJP on Reservation at RJD’s 28th Foundation Day

Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), spoke at the party’s 28th foundation day event in Patna, Bihar. He criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for being against reservation, stating that the Mahagathbandhan government had raised the reservation quota to 75%, but the BJP stopped this hike when they came to power in Bihar.

Yadav emphasized that the RJD has never compromised with the BJP, unlike the Janata Dal (U), which he accused of allying with the BJP out of greed for power. He stated, “Being in power is not the biggest thing. Our fight is for those who are weak and deprived.”

He also highlighted the increase in RJD’s vote share in the recent Lok Sabha elections, noting a 9% rise, while the NDA’s vote share decreased by 6%. The RJD won 4 seats, and their alliance secured a total of 9 seats in the election.

The RJD was founded on July 5, 1997, and is celebrating 28 years of its existence.
