Tejashwi Yadav Confident in Bihar By-Polls Amid Election Date Changes

Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, expressed his determination to defeat hate and win the upcoming by-polls in Bihar. He also shared his confidence in winning the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, aiming to form a government for the poor. Yadav participated in a roadshow in Buxar to support RJD candidate Bhai Ajit Singh for the Ramgarh assembly by-polls, accompanied by Buxar MP Sudhakar Singh.

The by-elections for four assembly constituencies in Bihar, including Belaganj, Imamganj, Tarari, and Ramgarh, are set for November 13, with results on November 23. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has postponed by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, and Punjab from November 13 to November 20, following requests from major political parties like INC, BJP, BSP, and RLD. These changes were made to accommodate festivals and ensure higher voter turnout.

In Kerala, the Congress noted that many voters in Palakkad would be involved in the “Kalpathi Ratholsavam” festival from November 13 to 15. Similarly, in Punjab, the 555th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji will be celebrated on November 15, with an Akhand Path starting November 13. The Election Commission has a history of rescheduling polling dates for voter convenience, as seen in past elections in Punjab, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, and Rajasthan.

Now, one assembly constituency in Kerala, four in Punjab, and nine in Uttar Pradesh will hold polls on November 20, with counting and completion dates remaining November 23 and 25, respectively.
