Patna, Bihar – Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), announced that the INDIA alliance is determined to win upcoming elections. Their main goal is to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharkhand once again.

Yadav mentioned that there are by-elections for four assembly seats in Bihar, as well as elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. He emphasized the alliance’s effort to win all these elections. The Election Commission has scheduled Jharkhand’s assembly polls in two phases on November 13 and 20, while Maharashtra will have a single-phase election on November 20. Votes will be counted on November 23.

When asked about the number of seats RJD will contest, Yadav stated that they are part of the government in Jharkhand and the INDIA alliance. He expressed a desire to contest the elections together and reiterated their aim to defeat the BJP in Jharkhand. The exact number of seats each party will contest will be decided soon.

The Chief Election Commissioner also announced bypolls for 48 assembly and two Lok Sabha seats. Bye-elections for 47 assembly constituencies and one parliamentary constituency in Wayanad, Kerala, will occur on November 13. Bypolls for one assembly constituency in Uttarakhand and the Nanded Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra will be on November 20, with vote counting on November 23.
