Team India Led by Rohit Sharma Faces South Africa in T20 World Cup 2024 Final

Bridgetown [Barbados], June 29: Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, is aiming to end their 11-year wait for an ICC trophy as they take on South Africa in the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday.

The Men in Blue are looking to win their first T20 World Cup since the inaugural edition in 2007. All eyes will be on India’s top bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, who has taken 13 wickets in seven matches with an average of 8.15. His top form is expected to give India an edge in the final.

South Africa, on the other hand, will be counting on their wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen, who has been crucial in chasing big targets. Both teams are unbeaten in the tournament, but history shows no team has won the T20 World Cup without losing a match.

India has a slight advantage with 14 wins in their previous 26 matches against South Africa’s 11 victories. The Indian team has dominated strong opponents like Australia, Pakistan, and England, while South Africa has had narrow escapes against teams like Bangladesh and Nepal.
